On the auspicious Democracy day, Adavi local government Administrator, Hon. Joseph Omuya
Salami felicitates with Nigerians on the occasions of June 12 to commemorates democracy day.
The Council head made this known in a congratulatory message made
available to the general public through his media and publicity, Engr M.
Jamiu Habeeb expresses his confidence that with the swearing-in of
President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo for another
four-year term, and also the inauguration of the legislative arms of the
government, Nigerians would
witness a tremendous level of development and prosperity in the next four years.
The Council boss reaffirmed that, the task of taking Nigeria to a higher level of development and accelerated progress has begun. We wish Mr President, senators elected, our governors as well as state house of Assemblies members elected a successful and impactful tenure,” he said.
Hon. Joseph described the inauguration of the Executives and the Legislatures as a “positive development and a demonstration of the collective wishes of the Nigerian people for the entrenchment of democracy in the country.”
He therefore, call on Nigerians to be patriotic and law-abiding as the nation will get it right this time around judging from the smooth conduct of NASS elections to elect their principal officers yesterday.
Furthermore, Hon. Joseph specifically utilizes this opportunity to urge the members elected from the Central Senatorial District of Kogi state, both lower and upper house to be a good ambassador of their respective zones they represented in the course of discharging their duties and oversight functions. "I wish you people sound health, long life and prosperity “ Hon. Joseph said.
Finally, the task of returning his Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello comes November 16 in the Kogi gubernatorial election is our focus, Hon. Joseph declared.
