Adeyanju, a resident of Irona in Ado Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital, who was alleged to have defiled the minor on September 10, 2017, is facing two counts bordering on rape and attempted rape.

Dr Temitope informed the court that the victim was brought to him after defilement on September 11, 2017 and “the medical history and investigation on her showed that she had been with her father since two years after her parents got separated”.
The medical expert further told the court that “medical report revealed the girl’s outer vagina was bruised, but she was HIV negative”.
Counsel to the defendant, Adeyinka Opaleke, observed that the victim was reported to have been taken to hospital on September 11, 2017 and the medical report was signed on January 28, 2019, but the medical practitioner informed the court that “the medical report was issued based on request”.
