KOGI PDP CONGRESS: PDP and the curse of Engr Uhuotu.

Published July 6, 2019

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Kogi State chapter is at a crossroads with her incumbent state working committee as led by Engr Uhuotu. As concerned PDP foot soldiers, we are aware that there are plans within some quarters to return the already failed Excos back to office. This kangaroo arrangement spells doom for the party.

It is audible to the deaf and visible to the blind that Engr Uhuotu is a colossal failure, a double faced serpent who smiles with the PDP in the day time and dine with the APC at night. We make bold to say that PDP state chairman and many of his Excos are Bonafide APC members who worked against the party during the last general elections.

We wish to draw the attention of all well meaning party stakeholders that any attempt to return the current vegetative Excos back to office will not only cause a sharp divide in the already fragmented party, the party should forget about winning the November 16th gubernatorial Election.

Uhuotu, like his name signifies in Ebira means “REST” and one would agree with us that since he (Uhuotu) became our party chairman, the party has been “Resting” and in near comatose. Engr Uhuotu, perhaps, his best achievement in office is turning himself into a personal assistant (PA) to a former Governor whom we are aware has already perfected plans to impose his son as the flag bearer of the PDP in the fort coming state congress.

Mr Uhuotu, like a prodigal son, has squandered the good will of the PDP in the state. We will never forget in a hurry how he traded off the party to get his inlaw into the federal House of Representatives on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC). We shall resist Uhuotu’s imposition as our next party chairman else *THERE SHALL BE CONSEQUENCES*

In 2015 when the current state executives assume office, they met a near whole PDP in Kogi State with a sitting Governor, three(3) senators, nine(9) house of reps members, and several state of assembly members. Fast forward to 2019, the party has lost its hold and struggled to retain one (1) senator and a member of the House of Representatives. Even if everyone is praising Uhuotu, as an elder (over 73) he ought to have known that this is by far the lowest of feat to attain by anyone in life. At least, they say grey hair comes with wisdom. Uhuotu should find wisdom in his grey hairs and bow out of office in peace before he becomes a *CURSE* on us all.

On a final note, it’s important that we stress the fact that we are aware that by the arrangements of the so called elders of our party that *The youths have no future* in Kogi PDP. It has become a family affair, but we are watching like an Eagle. A word, they say, is enough for the wise.
