It was another glorious moment for the people of Otutu ward in Okene Local Government Area as the Council Administrator, Engr. (Mall) Abdulrazaq Muhammad today commissioned a motorised bore-hole to alleviate the water problems of the people of the area. The occassion which was powered by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Multilateral and Donor Agencies, Barr. Ladi Ahmed Jatto also empowers 20 widows with cash to support their business activities or as capital to begin a new business.
In his remark, the Council Administrator Engr. (Mall) Abdulrazaq Muhammad congratulates the beneficiaries and urged them to make judicious use of the fund. He said, the good gesture further show the commitment of the New Direction Government of His Excellency, Alh. Yahaya Bello to alleviate the sufferings of the people and reduce poverty in the land. The Council leader also eulogised Hon. Barr. Ladi Jatto and thanked her for being a worthy ambassador of the New Direction Government at the grassroots. He said, such interventions by government appointees help consolidate grassroots support for the governor.
While he enjoined the people to reciprocate the good work of Barr. Ladi Jatto by coming out in their large numbers to support the reelection bid of Gov. Yahaya Bello, the Council Chairman assured the people of his commitment to ensure the Governorship campaigns/election will be peaceful and successful in Okene Local Government and indeed Ebiraland. He maintained that, Okene Local Government came first in Kogi State in the last general election and 7th in Nigeria, therefore, we are ready to do it again for the reelection of Gov. Yahaya Bello.
Barr. Ladi who gave the vote of thanks appreciated the overwhelming supports she received from the Council Administrator, officials and people of Okene Local Government especially women and youths for the show of loyalty saying she never knew the little interventions could so much be appreciated by the people. She however assured the people that she will continue to use her good office to better the lot of the people on behalf of her benefactor, Gov. Yahaya Bello.
