Hon. Bello Hassan Balogun Donates Educational Materials to over 600 Children in his Constituency

 The philanthropic gesture of Hon. Bello Hassan Balogun (a.k.a Chop Knuckle), the majority leader of Kogi state House of Assembly, was yet again on display with the donation of textbooks and exercise books to over six hundred school children to mark the end of the extra mural lessons which he organised for the pupils and students of his Constituency during the school holiday. The event took place at Government Science Secondary School, Adogo, in Ajaokuta Local Government Area of Kogi State.


Among the dignitaries at the event was Mr. Shedrach Ananyi, Permanent Member, Kogi State House of Assembly Service Commission, who accompanied the majority leader to grace the occasion. Hon. Shedrach applauded the peoples honourable for organizing such a wonderful program for his people.

Speaking to journalist shortly after making the donation, the majority leader explained that the gesture was aimed at complimenting Governor Yahaya Bello's effort in the development of education in the state, noting that education is the springboard to any meaningful development in any society.

He further observed that education should not be left for the government alone. Contribution no matter how small will help in reducing the burdensome on the shoulders of parents. And according to him, teachers too have roles to play in the development of the students, stressing that 'the right to education means right to qualified teachers'.

After a few minutes teaching session with the students in the classroom, he noted that the smile on the faces of the children showed they were happy that he brought such items for their use. He furthered, gave out the sum of sixty thousand naira to be shared to the students and another fourty thousand naira to the corp members who were employed to teach the students too.

On the forth-coming election, he said Governor Yahaya Bello is the only aspirant known to the electorates in the state and he has no iota of doubt that Governor Yahaya Bello will defeat other aspirants.
Also, Engr. Sadiq Lawal, Senior lecturer at the Federal University of  Technology, Minna who donated some of the textbooks shared to the children said it's aimed at supporting the education outreach of the majority leader for academic excellence in the area.

Finally, the coordinator of the project, Mr. Tijani Akpata thanked the majority leader for his undying love for the people at the grassroot and everyone who have contributed in no small measure to make the program a success. He urged the benefitting students to see the items donated to them as a charge for best academic performances.
