Jubilations, Excitement As GYB Campaign Tour Arrived Igala Land

It was a glorious moments and show of appreciations from party executives and stakeholders from Kogi East Senatorial district as the Campaign train for the reelection of Gov. Yahaya Bello by the 21 Local Government Administrators in Kogi State under the umbrella of ALGON touched Idah, Ibaji, Igalamela/Odolu and Ofu Local Governments to speak with party executives and supporters from the eastern flank ahead of August 29th All Progressive Congress (APC) gubernatorial primary election.

At the palace of His Royal Majesty, the Atta of Igala, the Council Administrators gladly informed the monarch of their mission in his kingdom and seek for royal blessings as they begin their political campaign across the nine Local Governments of Kogi East. The respected royal father eulogised the good policies of Gov. Yahaya Bello and appreciated him for bringing developments to Igala land. He said, the rural electrification project initiated by Gov. Bello's administration will cover about 200 communities in his domain as well as numerous road projects, youth empowerments, payment of salaries occasioned by the release of bail out fund among others are enough results to convince the people. He therefore, described Gov. Bello as a wonderful man and should be supported by all.

The ALGON campaign  train moved to Ibaji, the home town of the Deputy Governor and despite terrain, the people mostly party executives came out in mass to declare total support and loyalty to Gov. Yahaya Bello. At Idah Local Government, the atmosphere became charged with joy and standing ovation in a total show of love to their leader, His Excellency, Alh. Yahaya Bello. The Administrators of Ijumu, Okehi and Okene Local Governments,  Alh. Taofika Isah, Abdulraheem Ohiare and Abdulrazaq Muhammad respectively conveyed the Governor's  message to the people and assured them of his commitment to continue the good work in Igala land.

Despite the down pour, the party executives,  people of Igalamela/Odolu and Ofu Local Governments waited patiently for GYB Campaign train. Surprisingly, the party executives from the two Local Governments of Ofu and Igalamela/Odolu gladly told the campaign team to concentrate their efforts in other areas as Gov. Yahaya Bello is well rooted in their domains. They maintained that, in view of the positive impact of Gov. Bello's administration to the people which includes the restoration of Igala cultural heritage, road constructions, rural electrification,  bail out fund, Igala Unity House among others gladden their hearts, hence, they have long resolved to overwhelmingly vote the Governor back to Lugard House.

The grassroots mobolisation for the reelection of Gov. Yahaya Bello by the Local Government Administrators have ones again demonstrated the Governor's capacity via the Local Government Council bosses to overwhelmingly win the party primary elections and of course certain of victory in the November 16th, 2019 Governorship election.

The campaign tour will continue with Dekina, Omala, Ankpa, Bassa and Olamaboro Local Governments.
