APC tells Buhari govt to takeover Shoprite, MTN, DSTV, South African banks

The All Progressives Congress (APC) Thursday night urged the Muhammadu Buhari-led Federal Government to takeover of Shoprite, MTN, DSTV and other South African businesses.

The call followed the deadly xenophobic attacks on Nigerians in the country.

APC made the demand after an emergency National Working Committee (NWC) in Abuja.

The party further requested the revocation of licenses of banks owned by the South Africans.

Stanbic IBTC and Standard Chartered banks are on the list.
