Kogi Central has witnessed robust development during the New Direction Government of His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, the 4th and incoming 5th Executive Governor of Kogi State not comparable to any government since the creation of the State 28 years ago. The advisory roles of one man stands tall in the heart of the people, a man whose vision has helped transformed Kogi Central to a modern theatre of development and a home where you and I can truly be proud of.
On assumption of office as the Special Adviser to the Governor of Kogi State on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs about three and a half years ago, the dogged Leader and a man whose words are filled with wisdom hit the ground running by turning around the fortune of the Ministry for better. Today, the Ministry has become a functional one that Kogi State Government is proud of going by the roles it has played in our grassroots governance and development.
As a refined technocrat and Engineer turned Super Administrator, Engr. Ohere flexibly spread his tentacles across the 21 Local Government Areas and with the honest commitments of the Council Administrators, achieved an unprecedented records that would take long to surpass in the annals of grassroots administration. Yes, he has also allowed his experience and dignity for the elders and kingship to bear in his dealings with the Traditional institutions. dignity.
Aside his statutory role, the Special Adviser engaged in many Projects aimed to turn around our society for better. Various developmental projects ranging from construction of blocks of Classrooms and provision of Desks and Instructional materials, he provided electricity Transformers and sunk Boreholes to many communities across Kogi Central. In the areas of Empowerment, he was only second to his Boss; but his usual appeal is "please, don't publicise it" and "whatever you benefit from me is from His Excellency, our benefactor". What a humble personality!
True to his position as the leader of all Kogi Central Political Functionaries, he recently led all the Political Office holders to make a remarkable history and of course, first of its kind in history.
The recently conducted APC Gubernatorial Primaries readily attested to this fact as Kogi Central gave His Excellency, Governor Yahaya Bello block votes thereby setting the pace for other Senatorial Districts to emulate peacefully. This is a feat achieved by Engr. Ohere after his perfect liaison with other Key Stakeholders from Kogi Central.
Only few days ago, Engr. Ohere again put to play his open door policy and all inclusiveness politics as facilitated by one of his most dependable Administrator and State ALGON Treasurer, Hon. AbdulRaheem Ohiare when he reconciled fully to GYB's Camp, a former Okehi Campaign Coordinator of late Prince Abubakar Audu, Hon. Zakari Otokiti and a former APC Senatorial Aspirant, Hon. Haruna Yusuf (ADC) amongst others. Such open heartedness and burning desire for GYB to succeed stands Engr. Ohere tall amongst other Political Functionaries in Kogi State. Engr. Ohere's policy is that of Unity for Progress and this he has continually demonstrated at all times.
In the build up to the forthcoming Gubernatorial Elections, watch out for Engr. (Dr.) Abubakar Sadiq Ohere as he is set to make history repeat itself.
