Fayemi Releases N100m For Pensioners’ Gratuity In Ekiti

The Executive Secretary of Pension Transitional Arrangement Department (PTAD), Mr Adebiyi Afolabi disclosed this while flagging off the official presentation of the cheques to the beneficiaries in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital.

Adebiyi advised them not to be careless with their bank details like their BVN either with their family members or any other person for security reason, as some people they least suspected could tamper with their accounts.
The Executive Secretary advised the pensioners to participate in the Co-operatives Societies within the Civil Service to forestall future eventualities, adding that the Civil Service Cooperative Societies are more dependable than those Co-operative Societies operating outside the Civil Service.
The Chairman of the National Union of Pensioners, Ekiti State Chapter, Elder Ayo Ikumapayi commended the State Government for increasing the fund for gratuities from 10 million to 100 million monthly.
Ikumapayi, who disclosed that a programme would soon be on the radio that will focus on issues relating to pensioners’ health care and other welfare packages that have to do with them.
