Kogi Assembly Member, Dahiru Hacco Open Constituency Office in Okene

A member of Kogi State House of Assembly representing Okene II Constituency, Hon. Ahmed Dahiru Hacco has opened his Constituency office in Obehira-Uvete ward of Okene II Constituency to enhance his relationship with his constituents and of course, an opportunity for the people to contribute ideas to the overall development of the area. 


In his brief address, the capacity and energetic lawmaker said, this is the first time in the history of the constituency, that a lawmaker will create a space of interaction as Constituency office. He said, the initiative was born out of his desires to bring governance closer to his people and at the same time receive feedback, yearnings and needs of his people back to government for adequate  attention. 

 The constituency office will also create jobs for the youths as some of them will be engaged to carry out some social developmental work in line with the needs of his constituents, he concluded.  

The constituency office which consist of four rooms and a meeting hall was commissioned by the Senator representing Kogi Central, Sen. Yakubu Oseni on Wednesday, 23rd October, 2019.

 Earlier in a brief ceremony to welcome guests and party leaders, the leader of Okene II Constituency and the Accountant General of Kogi State, Alh. Jibril Momoh commended the lawmaker for living up to expectations withn a period of simonths hs in office. He said, since his assumption of office as a representative of the people, Hon. Ahmed Hacco has continue to swell the camp of Gov. Yahaya Bello with his people friendly ideas that have made him stand tall among his peers. 

According to the leaders, such faithful and loyal public office holders will no doubt bring governance closer to the people and be able to priotise government policies and deelopments in accordance with desires and needs of the people. They appreciated the overwhelming supports of the people who came out in their large numbers to be part of what they called “a beautiful beginning by a humble lawmaker”.
