It's a fallacious publication against Engr. Ohere, APC
The Kogi Central Media Crew, the mouthpiece of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi Central has debunked in its entirety the humongous falsehood, malicious and divisive article purportedly written by one ethnic jingoist and amateur agent of the opposition, Muhammed Yakub in respect of the person of Hon. Commissioner for Local Government & Chieftaincy Affairs, Engr. (Dr.) Abubakar Ohere and published in Kogi Today Online News few hours ago.
The untrue statements concocted in the article was nothing but brazen distortion of facts by the opposition and enemies of unity and progress whose aims was to deceive the unsuspecting public and cause ethnic strife ahead of the forthcoming gubernatorial elections. The Media Crew saw this as a ploy by the opposition to cause division and disaffection between the APC Members as well as the various ethnic groups having failed to sell their candidate to the good people of Kogi State.
Their choice of Engr. Ohere to destabilize the patronage GYB/CEDO enjoys amongst the Igala, Okuns and Ebira was a miscalculated one already hitting the rocks as the governmental official is a known public figure who as a pillar of the Gov. Bello led New Direction Government has used his office to touch the lives of Kogi Youths/women across the three (3) Senatorial Districts.
He attracts development to the grassroots without bias and as well ensured that a bond and formidable bridge of unity between the ethnic groups across Kogi State.
The recent grading and upgrading of the Traditional Rulers Stools superintended by his office shows practically how detribalized the Kogi Central Leader, Engr. Ohere is.
Therefore, we challenge the writer of the failed epistle to provide venue, location, date and time of the said meeting, provide identity of other members apart from Engr. Abubakar Ohere. The writer should be reminded that the people of Kogi Central and East have a long standing economic and political relationship for decades, hence, no amount of media attacks can break the divine bond.
Gov. Yahaya Bello is going into the November 16 governorship election armed with records of unprecedented achievements which of course are glaring to the electorates, our campaigns are not centered on ethnic sentiments.
The Media Group rightly noticed that the strength of unity and bond in the APC, the acceptance enjoyed by the ruling Party across the three (3) Senatorial Districts cum the defeat staring the opposition at the face was the major reason they resort to cheap blackmails and falsehood peddling.
The Media Crew at this juncture advised the opposition, cohorts and their agents to stop their dastardly acts of peddling lies and rumours and of course, engage on genuine campaigns as the good people of Kogi State are now better informed and only waiting for November 16th to return GYB/CEDO to Lugard house.
