Onubaiye Shaibu Oricha, Coordinator Pharm Asuku Canvassers
For GYB/CEDO, have congratulated the Chief of Staff, Pharm. Abdulkareem Asuku,
over Governor Yahaya Bello victory in the governorship election in Kogi State,
which held on Saturday.
Oricha, in a
statement on Thursday, titled ‘Kogi Election: A victory for the people’, said Yahaya
Bello’s victory at the poll showed that the people of the state voted to put
their futures in his hand. He governed with a dignity that is rarely found.
He attributed GYB’s
victory to “sterling record in public service, the tenacity of purpose,
exemplary values, stupendous goodwill and abiding grace of God”
GYB will quickly consolidate on his legacy of good governance
which hallmarked his first tenure as the governor of Kogi State.”
Oricha described Pharm Asuku as a principled leader, who
possessed profound judgment and a sage’s wisdom as well as a compassionate
human being and an example of decorum in any circumstance.
”This high
principled leader, Pharm Asuku, stood as a father figure and mentor to many
younger politicians across the country, particularly in the Kogi Central.
”He has shown
that one can be successful in politics by being kind to all and making concern
for the common person and for a just society one’s guiding vision.
”He is one of
the most humane persons you could meet. To meet him is to like him. To know him
is to admire Chief of Staff, Pharm. Abdulkareem Asuku and to be thankful that
he is your friend and ally,” he said.
