If you hate criticism then stay away from leadership and sell ice cream, everyone loves ice creams.

For one in public domain must be ready to deal with criticism on daily basis. Genuine critics will criticize you objectively as their only desire is to see a working society. So they criticize to put you on toes with the sole aim of getting the best of you for the larger good.

While some other critics are cynist in disguise who believes that only selfishness motivates human actions and who disbelieves in or minimizes selfless acts or disinterested points of view. They criticize not for the larger good but out of pure hatred, jealousy and envy.

A public figure must learn to deal with these characters in the most civilized manner.

Just a while ago, some cynist sold to the general public that the man in Aso Rock is one Jibril from Sudan and that Buhari our president died since 2017 and was secretly buried in Sadi Arabiya. The lie was well organized and told often that some Nigerians populace begun to believe it. They organized an E-wedding for him and go hard on him at every given chance yet Buhari the strongest man in the country by constituted authority with all the powers to mute these cynist for life hardly even answers them. Now, that is civility at its peak.

These young leaders must learn to apply civility in their dealings. they must understand that we now operate a society where everyone got voices.

The story of young newly appointed commissioner of water resources to kogi state government and a young Ebira girl is a disheartening one. The young girl may have crossed her boundaries to have dabbled into a purely family issues that does not really concerns her but did she deserved the treatment given? NO, in totality we must all condemn the reprisal attack on her. Beating the young girl and making a naked video of her is inhuman and must be condemned by all and sundry.

Mr commissioner and those that carried out the act, where is the human in you? Where is your civility?
