The Hon. Commissioner, as a law abiding citizen, promptly answered the legal call in company of his legal team and immediately drew the attention of Hon. IGP that, the allegations against him, being State Offences, can not be handled by IGP, but, by the Commissioner of Police (COP), Kogi State Police Command.
IGP was further informed that, there is already a pending Petition against the said Elizabeth and Barr. Natasha Akpoti bordering on Defamation of Character and False Allagation against the duo, before the COP, Kogi State and both have been fidgeting.
The IGP was equally notified that, the Hon. Commissioner had also approached a High Court of Justice of Kogi State, Holden session at EBOGOGO, wherein he had filed a 100 Million Naira libel suit, against the duo. However, due to the Covid 19 pandemic, the suit is yet to proceed on HEARING.
IGP was finally informed that, the Hon. Commissioner will always avail himself, wherever and whenever needed to clarify any issue, which his office may have jurisdiction to handle, as a law abiding citizen.
Hon. Commissioner later left the office of the IGP and zoomed straight to his house.
In view of the foregoing, we urge the general public to DISCOUNTENANCE the rumors being perpetrated on social media that, Hon. DANGA was taken into custody by the office of the IGP.
