Executive Chairman of Adavi Resolves Land Dispute Between Adavi Land Trustee And Ehemi Sub-Clan Of Aniku.


The Executive Chairman of Adavi LG, Hon. Joseph Omuya Salami has once again displayed part of the responsibilities bestowed on him by the good people of Adavi as he used diplomacy and wisdom to resolves the differences between Adavi Land Trustee and Ehemi Sub-Clan of Aniku Clan in Zango Daji Community, Adavi LGA immediately after his Sunday service today. 

The Executive chairman who vowed that his administration will never compromise anything that will threaten the peace of Adavi, also displayed the same gesture today as he was patience enough to hear from both side and gave a no victor, no vanquish judgement as it best suit our culture and person.

Hon. Joseph Omuya Salami who acted under the capacity of the Executive Governor of Kogi State to pass a mutual judgment for the sake of peace and unity among the good people of Adavi, urged every individual present to sheathe their swords and embrace peace for the progress of Adavi LGA, as he added that the peace of the land is very paramount. "I stand for Adavi and I will continue to serve and discharge my duty diligently without fear or favour", the Executive Chairman vowed.

The issues was resolved between the complainers in the presence of both parties, the Traditional Council, Elders of Aniku Clan, Adavi Consultative Council (ADCC), Youths, Community leaders, the concerned individuals, and the cabinet to the executive chairman of Adavi.

After much deliberation and consideration, the Executive Chairman has come to conclusions that;

- Those whose lands were intruded or retrieved during the dispute should be returned with immediate effect.

- Those who will be in charge of land allocation in Zango Daji community should be brought to Ohi of Adavi for proper recognition.

- The title which was given to Elder Bayo an Indegine of Bassa LG,  who has contributed immensely to the progress of the Zango-Daji should be modify from Odeyiete to another title by Traditional Council.

- The accountability and proper documentation of lands allocation by the allocator, should be reported directly to the Local Government.

- Various Land and Market Committee that was set up before and within the community should be dissolved and properly structured again.  

 The chairman of Adavi Consultative Council (ADCC), Alh. Abdullahi Musa who gave vote of thanks on behalf of the entire Zango-Daji Community, commended the effort of the executive chairman for his leadership skills and how he treat cases. He added that it will be in his own records for God to use him to resolve the differences between the concerned parties which has been lingering long before now. He further congratulated him for achieving this. He  thanked him for his commitment and zeal for the progress of Adavi.
