ADAVI CIVIL DEFENCE CORPS NAB AN IMPOSTOR ON ARMY UNIFORM


A suspected fake military officer who has been using army uniforms to commit crimes was apprehended while stealing phones from a trader's shop in Egbogogo, Adavi Local 

Government Area, and was later confirmed to have been dismissed from the Nigerian Army since 2019 but still parading himself as a military officer to extort people and have a shield for his evil act. The fake army officer is by name Daniel Gayus, from Niger State, Gwari by tribe. He's currently with Civil Defence Corps but will be officially handed over to the Police Force for further investigation and prosecution.

The Executive Chairman of Adavi, Hon. Joseph Omuya Salami commended the efforts of the Civil Defence Corps, he urged the security personnel and other uniform men in Adavi to always handle issues professionally. “We are up to the task, and I believe so much that God and the good people of Adavi will continue to be on our side for the progress of our communities.

"We are so much concerned about the wellbeing and security of our people, and we will not pay attention to distractions that intends to rubbish our hard-earned reputation and the good work we have been doing", the council boss vowed.

The Executive Chairman also seized the opportunity to warn those impersonating uniform men, and reminded everyone that whatever is wrong should be disregarded, for whatever you think is hidden shall be brought to light someday, and then, it may be too late.
