The Executive Chairman of Okehi LGA, Hon Abdulraheem Ozovehe Ohiare today in his residence met with Fulani Leaders resident in Okehi LGA.
The Fulani Leaders came alongside some selected Fulani Youths drawn across the Fulani settlements of Osara, Abobo, Itakpe, Eika Ohizenyi, Usungwe, Ohu, Omavi, Ohuepe, Ihima and Ogidi in Okehi LGA.
The Youths who were to serve as Security Watch in their various domains were given charge by the Council Chairman to maintain surveillance and as well help monitor their domains in a bid to curtail Kidnappings and other forms of criminality in our suburb and motorways.
The Council Boss thereafter handed them over to the Security Agencies for proper identification and profiling.
The Okehi acting DPO, NSCDC Commander and the Kogi Vigilante Service representative took turn to address the Fulanis on Security, promptness of information and responses to calls.
At the end of the Security address, the Ardo Fulani in Okehi LGA restated their commitments towards a progressive, peaceful and secured Okehi LGA and to this end, he promised of their optimum cooperation in achieving the task of having a better Okehi and Kogi in all ramifications.
To crown it all, the endorsement of Alh Ododo Ahmed Usman for Kogi Governorship took effect as they unanimously declared their firm resolve to support his candidature wholeheartedly.
