HON OHIARE INTERFACES WITH NULGE & NUT, OKEHI CHAPTER.
"...Urged The Union Bodies To Support & Preach Ododo/Joel".
The Executive Chairman of Okehi LGA, Hon Abdulraheem Ozovehe Ohiare today held a progressive interface with the Executives of Nigeria Union of LG Workers & Nigeria Union of Teachers in his office.
The substance of the meeting was to appreciate them for their continued support to His Excellency, Governor Yahaya Bello's administration and seek for their strong support for Ododo & Joel in the forthcoming Guber elections.
In his key remarks, the Council Chairman who dismissed the insinuations that there are some dissenting voices amongst the Staff & Teachers, urged the bodies to ensure they demonstrate their political weight in the November 11th 2023 elections even as His Excellency, Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello has shown his love to Teachers hence, nominating the State NUT Boss as the APC's running mate to Alhaji Usman Ododo in the forthcoming Governorship elections. That alone, he added, is sufficient to make the Teachers and other Unions in Kogi State feel involved in the governance of the State.
Hon Ohiare used the moment to recount the developmental strides of His Excellency in Kogi State especially in the areas of Security and infrastructure. He maintained that he is undoubtedly sure that the incoming Governor by the Grace of God, Alhaji Ododo would consolidate on those achievements.
In their responses, the heads of both Unions pledged their unalloyed support to His Excellency, Governor Yahaya Bello's government and assured the Council Chairman if their commitment towards the success and victory of Ododo & Joel in the November elections.
The Okehi NUT Chairman, Mr Michael Momoh specifically thanked His Excellency for nominating one of their own as the Deputy Governorship Candidate of the APC; stressing that they have no other option but to throw their weight behind the Progressive Party's Candidature in the forthcoming elections. They however, asked to be included in the Campaign Committee as their readiness to participate massively in the forthcoming Guber elections is not a child's play.
The Council Chairman finally, promised the Unions to be carried along in the process es while assuring them of improved package for their well being.
The climax of the meeting was prayers for the continued success of the Governor Bello led administration and victory of Ododo/Joel in the November 11th, 2023 Gubernatorial elections.
