Democracy Day: Hon Ibrahim Umar Adabara Celebrate with Nigerians

Democracy Day: Hon Ibrahim Umar Adabara Celebrate with Nigerians.

I am writing to commemorate Nigerian Democracy Day, expressing my warm regards to the people of Kogi Central, Kogi State, and Nigeria as a whole.

Today, we honour the essence of democracy and the liberties it affords. We pay tribute to the perseverance of those who advocated for our rights and the robustness of our democratic establishments.

On this significant day, let us cherish our privilege to vote and contribute to shaping our collective destiny, embrace diversification and inclusivity, acknowledge the potency of our unified voices and endeavours, and reassert our dedication to fairness, parity, and human rights.

While stressing the importance of cultivating peaceful cohabitation, it is pertinent to highlight the advantages that democracy bestows upon a nation, including:

1. Upholding political stability and credibility

2. Stimulating economic progress and advancement

3. Safeguarding human rights and integrity

4. Nurturing a climate of acceptance and inclusiveness

5. Cultivating answerability and openness in governance

We also celebrate His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, for sustaining such ideals through remarkable and indelible achievements.

Hon Ibrahim Umar Adabara, in a statement, described Governor Ododo's few Months in office as a huge success for the state despite the distraction in court from the opposition party.

I sincerely thank our governor for his unflinching commitment to the payment of worker’s salaries up to date. Our governor has clearly shown that he is a man of distinction who sees workers as assets and not liabilities.

I urge us to persist in erecting a democracy that is by the people, of the people, and for the people—an embodiment of aspiration, a promoter of harmony, and a champion of human honour.

Warm regards

Hon. Ibrahim Umar Adabara, S.S.A Political Matters (Central) to Gov. Ahmed Usman Ododo.
