In a deeply moving condolence message, former Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency Yahaya Bello, CON, has expressed heartfelt grief over the passing of Alhaji Ahmed Momoh Sani Ododo, father of the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo.
The late Alhaji Ahmed Momoh Sani Ododo, who passed on at the age of 83, was described as not just a father but a guiding light whose wisdom, humility, and sacrifices shaped the values of his son, now serving as the Chief Servant of Kogi State.
Yahaya Bello, while commiserating with Governor Ododo, wrote:
“He was more than just a parent to you he was a moral compass, a wise guide, and a stabilising force whose values helped to forge you into the excellent leader you are today. His sacrifices and quiet wisdom live on in your service to the people.”
Reflecting on the legacy of the late patriarch, the former governor noted that life’s greatest legacy lies not in possessions, but in the values and children one leaves behind. By raising a worthy son who now governs Kogi State, the late Alhaji Ododo has etched a name of honor and respect in the hearts of many.
Sharing in the grief, Yahaya Bello added:
“I mourn Baba with you and share personally in your pain, for he was in every sense my own father as well. Continue to honor him by leading with responsibility, dignity, and compassion.”
He concluded with prayers for the deceased:
“I pray Almighty Allah to forgive his shortcomings and admit him into Aljannah Firdaus, while granting you and the entire family the strength to bear this loss.”
The passing of Alhaji Ahmed Momoh Sani Ododo is not just a loss to his family, but also to Kogi State, where his values live on through the leadership and service of his son.
