Kogi APC Chairman Congratulates Hon. Shado on By-Election Victory, Leads Strategic Stakeholders’ Meeting Ahead of PVC Collection

The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi State, Hon. Abdullahi Bello (Dollar), has congratulated the newly elected member representing Okura State Constituency, Hon. Hassan Shado, on his victory at Saturday’s by-election.

Hon. Bello described the triumph as a clear testament to the strength of the APC in Kogi State and the growing confidence of the people in the leadership of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo. He noted that Hon. Shado has consistently demonstrated humility, loyalty, and commitment to the ideals of the party qualities that will make him an invaluable addition to the state legislature.

According to him, Shado’s emergence provides continuity to the legacies of the late Rt. Hon. Enema Paul, while further strengthening the unity of the APC in the state. He commended the people of Okura Constituency for their overwhelming support and assured them that the APC-led government would not disappoint their trust.




In a related development, Hon. Bello, in his capacity as Convener of the F-GYB Legacy Group, presided over a strategic stakeholders’ meeting of Kogi Central Senatorial District. The meeting focused on preparations for the forthcoming Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) and Permanent Voter Card (PVC) collection exercise.

In his keynote address, Hon. Bello praised Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for sustaining and expanding the developmental strides initiated by the Supreme Leader and former Governor, His Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, CON. He emphasized that the APC remains the party to beat, not just in Kogi but across the nation, owing to its unity, consistency, and the trust reposed in it by the people.

He urged party leaders and stakeholders to mobilize massively for the PVC collection exercise, describing it as a crucial step towards consolidating the APC’s electoral dominance. “The strength of our democracy lies in active voter participation,” he said. “The APC in Kogi Central must lead from the front.”


The meeting attracted an array of dignitaries, including Alh. Dr. Yakubu Adabenege (Fancy), Auditor-General for Local Governments; former Accountant-General of Kogi State, Alh. Jibril Momoh; Hon. A.K. Salihu; Rt. Hon. Tijani Ahmed Damisa; Hon. Kabir Ajannah; serving and former commissioners; National and State Assembly members; local government chairmen; as well as women and youth leaders. It ended with a firm resolution to ensure an overwhelming turnout in the PVC collection exercise.




In another development, the APC Chairman in Kogi State graced a rally organized by Hon. Sanni Ogembe in Idoji Ward of Okene Local Government to further strengthen the party. The Chairman commended Hon. Ogembe for his unwavering support to the APC.

Stakeholders unanimously pledged to intensify grassroots mobilization, assuring that the APC’s dominance in Kogi State and beyond will not only be sustained but further strengthened in the coming elections.
