~_PROMISES TO PRIORITIZE ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE AND CONSOLIDATE ON EXISTING SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT OF THE INSTITUTION._
The 10th Governing Council of Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja held its inaugural meeting at the Council Chamber of the institution's main campus on the Thursday August 28th, 2025 and presided over by the institution's Board Chairman, Barrister Sani Shaibu.
The inaugural board meeting had in attendance other members of the Council, the Polytechnic Rector Prof Salisu Usman Ogbo, representatives from the Ministry of Education, representative of the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE).
Barrister Sani Shaibu who chaired the inaugural meeting promises to prioritize the promotion of the institution's academic excellence and consolidate on the institution's existing sustainable development while working harmoniously in synergy with management and other stakeholders, leveraging on their wealth of experience and commitment to educational excellence to drive the polytechnic to a new heights.
He expresses deep gratitude to the Chief Servant of Kogi State, His Excellency, Alh Ahmed Usman Ododo for the privilege and honour bestowed on the council members and promises to justify the trust and confidence reposed on the council through commitments to academic excellence and all-inclusive leadership built on his leadership's open door policy.
The Chairman also acknowledged the efforts of the polytechnic management under the leadership of the Rector, Professor Salisu Ogbo Usman and promise to work in synergy with the management in repositioning the academic standard of the institution in line with Gov. Ahmed Usman Ododo's vision for quality education.
