Lions Club of Ebiraland Visit Sen. Abubakar Ohere, Urges Him to Recontest in 2027, Declares total support
Distinguished Senator Abubakar Ohere, former Senator representing Kogi Central, earlier played host to the Lions Club of Ebiraland in his office, where the influential group declared their unalloyed support for his political journey and called on him to make himself available for the 2027 senatorial election.
The delegation, led by the Club’s President, Hon. Abdul Rahman AbdulMalik (popularly known as China), commended Senator Ohere for his exemplary stewardship and the tangible development strides he has delivered both as a Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs and during his brief but impactful representation of Kogi Central at the National Assembly.
Speaking during the visit, Hon. AbdulMalik praised Ohere’s leadership style, describing him as a man of vision, courage, and integrity whose contributions have left indelible marks in the socio-political and infrastructural development of Ebiraland.
The Club’s Secretary, alongside other members of the delegation, emphasized the pressing need for Senator Ohere to return to the Senate in 2027, stressing that Kogi Central is missing the quality representation and voice he provided at the red chamber. They noted that his few months in the Senate showcased his capacity to speak boldly for the people, initiate development-driven motions, and push for projects that directly benefit the constituency.
In response, Senator Abubakar Ohere expressed appreciation to the Lions Club of Ebiraland for their show of solidarity and confidence in his leadership. He reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to the progress of Kogi Central. He assured the group that their voices would continue to guide his political decisions as he continues to attract development to our District to support the developmental plan of his Leader, H.E Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, CON, and our Governor, Alh. Usman Ahmed Ododo.
