Sallah Homage: Yahaya Bello, Senator Ohere, Others Visit Rt. Hon. James Faleke in Lagos

Former Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello (FGYB), alongside Senator Abubakar Sadiku Ohere and other distinguished personalities, paid a Sallah homage to Rt. Hon. James Abiodun Faleke at his residence in Ikeja, Lagos State.

The Member representing Ikeja Federal Constituency warmly received the former governor, Senator Ohere, and members of their entourage, describing the visit as a gesture that further strengthens brotherhood, unity, and political goodwill.

Speaking during the visit, Hon. Faleke expressed appreciation to Bello for taking time out of his busy schedule to visit him and his family.

"I want to thank you for finding time to visit us and for setting aside your engagements to rejoice with us and dine with my family. This is your second visit to me, the first was in Abuja, and after informing me last night, here you are again this afternoon," Faleke said.

The lawmaker commended Bello's achievements during his tenure as governor, noting that his record in office remains a strong testament to his leadership and would speak for him ahead of any future electoral contest.

"As we prepare for the campaign season, I want to wish you success. Your achievements alone can campaign for you. The people know the difference between you and your opponents, and I believe they will continue to support you. I am confident you will bring even more development to Kogi State," he stated.

Faleke also praised the Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, for what he described as commendable performance in office.

"I have commended Governor Ododo both privately and publicly. He is doing very well, and I wish him continued success," he added.

Highlighting the importance of unity and reconciliation in politics, Faleke noted that political differences should never overshadow the need for peaceful coexistence and cooperation.

"In politics, anything can happen. What many consider impossible can become possible. Politics is not a do-or-die affair. Only God knows where any of us will be tomorrow, so there is no need for unnecessary divisions among those who are alive today," he said.

Faleke further described Lagos as a welcoming and accommodating city that embraces people from all backgrounds.

"Lagos is a good place. The people are accommodating and appreciate anyone with good intentions. They do not discriminate based on tribe, religion, or place of origin," he remarked.

In his response, former Governor Yahaya Bello thanked Faleke and his family for the warm reception and hospitality extended to him and his entourage.

Bello praised Faleke's leadership qualities and political accomplishments, describing him as one of the shining examples of the leadership philosophy of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

"My brother, I am proud of you. Through the teachings and mentorship of our leader, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, leaders like you have emerged. I also want to mentor and raise people who will contribute positively to society and leadership," Bello said.

He stressed that unity remains the foundation for development and progress, adding that collective efforts would continue to drive growth and prosperity in Kogi State and beyond.

"Whatever we need to develop our state can only be achieved more easily when we are united. We will continue to work together for the benefit of our people," he stated.

Bello also appreciated Mrs. Faleke for the special hospitality and meals prepared for him and members of his entourage, expressing optimism that such engagements would continue in the spirit of friendship and cooperation.

The visit, held as part of the Sallah celebrations, reflected the growing spirit of unity, reconciliation, and collaboration among political leaders across party and regional lines.
