The Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Dr. Hon. Abdullahi Bello, has graced the wedding ceremony of the son of the late Engr. Ahmed Onoga, held at the Sultan Bello Mosque in Kaduna.

Late Engr. Ahmed Onoga was a distinguished political leader and a respected figure in Ebiraland and beyond. He was widely known for his intelligence, high profile and immense contributions to political development.

Although he passed away about 20 years ago, his legacy and contributions continue to be remembered by friends, associates, and political stakeholders. The Commissioner prayed that Almighty Allah grant him Aljanatul Firdausi.



The wedding ceremony was attended by numerous dignitaries from Kogi State and beyond. Among those present were the three-time former Member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Ahmed Tijani Damisa, who represented the Okene/Ogori-Magongo Federal Constituency, as well as Special Advisers to the Kogi State Governor and several prominent sons and daughters of Ebiraland.

In his remarks, the Commissioner congratulated the newly married couple and advised them to embrace patience, understanding, and tolerance towards one another, stressing that mutual respect and tolerance are essential ingredients for building a peaceful and formidable family.

Courtesy Visit to Alh. Muhammad Sule

In a related development, Dr. Hon. Abdullahi Bello paid a courtesy visit to Alh. Muhammad Sule at his Angwa Rimi residence in Kaduna.



The visit provided an opportunity for discussions on issues concerning political development in Kogi State, particularly the forthcoming political activities and elections involving the Kogi Central Senatorial District and the Adavi/Okehi Federal Constituency.

Arc. Muhammad Sule who was a former commissioner for Land development under former governor Ibrahim Idris (Ibro) appreciated the Commissioner for the visit and expressed his prayers and optimism for better days ahead for the people of Kogi State.

Also speaking during the visit, Hon. Ahmed Tijani Damisa urged Arc. Muhammad Sule to become more active in political activities, noting that his wealth of experience remains highly valuable and is needed at this time for the continued development and progress of Kogi State.


The engagements underscore the importance of unity, experience, consultation, and collective efforts toward advancing the interests of Kogi State and its people.
