The past few days has been the most overwhelming of this year for me. It is no longer news that a new dawn beckons in the life of our great party- Kogi State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Few weeks from now, the life span of the current PDP state working committee will come to an end and party faithfuls,leaders, stakeholders and delegates will painstakingly elect capable hands to oversee the affairs of the party in Kogi State.
The call by the various youth bodies which cut across the three (3) senatorial districts of Kogi State for me to run for the position of the state Publicity Secretary is a pointer to the great deal of confidence and trust the youths repose in me. I won’t take it for granted.
Haven consulted widely— with God, family members, leaders, stakeholders and friends, I have decided to make myself available to wake our party which is a sleeping giant to fiction and challenge for laurels again. The party needs to find its voice if it must return to the path of glory. I have considered these calls and admonition deeply.
For the love of state, humanity and my party( PDP), I David Godwin Itopa (History) have decided to throw my hat in the ring and contest the position of the *STATE PUBLICITY SECRETARY*.
It is on this note that we shall base our campaigns into two broads “Rs” and “P” (3RxP)
- Rebrand
- Re-invent the narratives
- PDP to your doorstep.
The task ahead is enormous, not a single man can make it happen. I enjoined all the delegates of my party to take the bold step and elect me for this position and together with the youths and leaders, we will give our party a voice— a *voice of victory*!
