The frontline aspirant for the Office of Kogi State PDP Publicity Secretary, David Godwin Itopa (History) and his campaign team have observed with rude shock how the Governor Yahaya Bello-led Kogi State Government under the failed All Progressives Congress (APC) has thus far received monthly allocations in excess of over 135billion plus Paris refunds and bail-out funds since 2016, yet has nothing tangible to show for the amounts so received. Backlog of unpaid salaries are running into excess of 38 months now. The aspirant is challenging the government of Governor Yahaya Bello to take up the challenge and dare to account for these monies it has received thus far.
Furthermore, History Campaign Organization is strongly urging Governor Yahaya Bello to retrace his steps, seek God’s forgiveness over the death and sufferings of many civil servants and pensioners occasioned by his “No payment” policy. As a result of his (GYB) poor economic policies, Kogi State has become a replica of Borno State IDP camps.
The recent protest by the various local government staffers across the State is a pointer to the unrepentant lies told by the failed “No Direction” government of Governor Yahaya Bello. Across the 21 local governments of the State, workers live in perpetual hunger and poverty as Bello, for reasons best known to him has refused to pay salaries even with steady flow of federal allocations and other intervention funds. Bello should bow out in shame or be prepared to be disgraced out of Office later in the year.
To the rescue of Kogi State in general, the History Campaign Organisation restates that it's candidate for the Office of Kogi State PDP Publicity Secretary in the forthcoming July 19th 2019 Kogi State PDP Congress, David Godwin Itopa (History) remains the candidate to beat and the ultimate face of hope for youth inclusiveness in the Party as he is the best choice for the Kogi PDP Publicity Secretary Office especially as Kogi State right now is going down the drain and needs a vibrant voice to reposition, rebrand the opposition Party and set her on the path of glory, come November 16th this year.
In conclusion, The History Campaign Organisation is calling on the naysayers calling PDP dead in Kogi State due to the silence of the opposition Party, to have a second thought as first of all; PDP remains ever united, stronger in every passing day and winning evermore under the national leadership of Prince Uche Secondus and same feat shall all and more be replicated in Kogi State after the house of the PDP in Kogi State is put in order upon the exit of the Uhuotu-led Party State excos on July 22nd, 2019.
