APC Primary Election Results Was A Referendum On Good Governance - Hayatu

The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on lnter-Party Affairs, Hon. Hayatu Abdullahi has join other party supporters to congratulates the Executive Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency, Alh. Yahaya Bello on his victory as the winner of All Progressive Congress (APC) Governorship primary elections held in Lokoja, the State Capital.


 The Governor who polled 3,091 votes to defeat nine other contestants at a transparent and peaceful election, was declared winner by the Chairman of the electoral committee and the Governor of Jigawa State, Alh. Muhammed Badaru Abubakar.

In his congratulatory message, Hon. Hayatu says the victory was a pay back on the governor to enable him consolidate his achivemnets of transforming the state to an enviable heights. He said, the Governor as the leader of the party in the state, is the only viable and credible option haven't build the party and placed it on a winning path. The Governor's records on security, Infrastructural developments, Health, Human Capital Developments, Provision of Social Amenities, Civil Service Reforms among others are enough justifications to earn him second term in office, he said. 

While thanking the delegates for their loyalty and faith in the new direction government, Hon. Hayatu also Commended the role so far played by the leadership of Inter Party Advisory Council (IPAC) for mobolising opposition parties to support the government of Alh. Yahaya Bello as well as refused to be used by some politicians to blackmail and discredit the government of Kogi State. He urged other contestants to accept the results of the primary election and join hands with the Governor to win the November 16 Governorship election.  

According to the Governor's aide, just like the 2019 general elections, we will continue to liase with other political parties to begin grassroot mobilization ahead of the all important governorship election in the state, he concluded.
