The much awaited decision ahead of the November 16th Gubernatorial election in Kogi State has come with wide jubilation across the length and breadth of the Confluence State. That is; the nomination of Chief Edward David Onoja as the running mate to All Progressive Congress (APC) Governorship Candidate for the November 16th election, His Excellency, Gov. Yahaya Bello.
Stakeholders of the Party, Political analysts, and Electorates received the news of his nomination with cheers due to his capacity to deliver on set objectives, his result oriented ideas, his leadership prowess and most importantly, his uncommon show of love and loyalty to the success of the New Direction Government of Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello.
CEDO as fondly called is a man of principle, a politician whose time has come, an evolutionary leader, a grassroot mobiliser, a man that loves the development of his society, the builder of men and champion of youth development and empowerments.
Appointed as the Chief of Staff to the digital Governor on 27th January 2016, Chief Edward David Onoja (CEDO) no doubt had demonstrated uncommon capacity as an achiever, a trail blazer and a bridge builder. Chief Edward true to his name has been a wonderful political strategist, a master planner, and a dependable ally of Gov. Yahaya Bello. As youthful and useful politician, Onoja is a fearless warrior who wins political battles convincingly.
The Eastern Senatorial District of Kogi State has never had it so good as Gov. Bello's footprints are visible in the nine (9) Local Government Areas of Igala/Bassa land. From Infrastructural Developments to Health care, Youth and Women Empowerments, Education to Traditional institutions; all have received the government's attention courtesy of Onoja's unequalled loyalty.
Now that Edward Onoja's capacity, commitments, hard work and loyalty have earned him elevation as the running mate of the Governor Bello in the forthcoming election, what becomes the fate of the opposition who believe so much in playing the ethnic cards? Certainly, it's over for them.
