Hon Prince Matthew Kolawole, Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly has felicitated with and congratulated Alhaji Yahaya Bello, Executive Governor of Kogi State and his counterpart in Jigawa State, Alhaji Mohammed Badaru on the conferment of Honorary Chieftaincy titles on them by the Paramount ruler of ALU Kingdom, His Royal Highness, Oba Ade Oladele Togun as the Bobajiroro and Alanu Oba of ALU Land respectively.
The Speaker said the conferment of a prestigious Chieftaincy title on Governor Bello in Okunland has further shown the love people have for him.
He noted that ALU community in Yagba East Local Government has laid the foundation for oneness in Okunland, urging other communities to emulate the laudable gesture.
He also congratulated the newly installed Asiwaju of ALU Kingdom, Hon (Chief) Joseph Leke Abejide, member representing Yagba Federal Constituency and House Committee Vice Chairman on Custom Service on the successful conferment of the Chieftaincy title.
He commended him for his laudable achievements as the representative of the Yagba people at the National Assembly, calling on other representatives at the national level to collaborate with the new direction administration in the state to move the state forward.
He said the reelection of Governor Yahaya Bello and Chief Edward David Onoja will go along way to place Okunland in a strategic position in the near future, hence the need for all and sundry to support and vote en masse for APC in the November 16 Governorship and Senatorial Elections.
The Speaker also congratulated the paramount ruler on his successful official coronation as the Alalu of ALU Kingdom.
