The acting chairman of Ogori/Magongo Local Government Hajiya Hawau Owuda (DLG) met with the traditional rulers and the security chiefs to have a familiarization meeting and also discuss security issues.
Among those who attended the meeting were the DPO, sodier commander, the DSS, civil defense, road safety, okada chairman, CAN chairman, chief Imam of Ogori/ Magongo, leader of the fulani men and all the traditional councils.
In her statement the acting chairman urged everyone, to join hands with her in taking the LG to loftier heights within the period she will act and also in bid to stem the tide of insecurity. She called for the co-operation and support of the security agents, traditional rulers and the community to move the people forward. She seek for God’s guidance in the discharge of this enormous responsibility and appeal for the support for the attainment of optimum security result in line with his Excellency Govn Yahaya Bello.
Insisting that the need to succeed cannot be compromised and that no leader that can succeed without the support of his subordinates and that the mandate of the office is inclusive. Given this scenario, all hands must be on deck, she said.
In respond the DPO said they have been working together with other security agents army and the DSS to make sure they get better result in securing the communities.
HRH Chief Sam Bola Ojo, Olu Magongo of Magongo and chairman Ogori Magongo traditional council. also beat support for her that it is also their duty to cooperate with chairman and the security agents to make sure that all hands are on deck to fish out the bad eggs in the community.
HRH Prof. Olugbemiro Akerejola. Uboro of Ogori land also make his remark that in a situations where we are talking about security we have to carry all the traditional rulers in their various areas along and notify everyone concerned as expected in every other things that concern Ogori/Magongo LG. He said he contributed to the coming of the LG and the coming government in the LG. He throw his support for the Chairman that for you to have become a director of the Local government means that you have vast accumulation of administrative experience. Therefore Ogori Magongo is a unique LG and most enlighten LG in Nigeria out of 774 local governments. You will definitely enjoy your work as acting chairman of the LG if you carry every body along.
In terms of security there should be coordination between the traditional rulers and security agents around.
