Okene News: SSA Caution against reprisal attack

The Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Governor on Security Matters in charge of Okene Local Government, Engr. Abdulrazaq Muhammad has cautioned the leadership of Ebira Community Association against a reprisal attack on Igbo community resident in Okene over an ugly incidence involving an Ebira woman, Mrs Oyiza Peters from Obehira axis who was allegedly stabbed by her landlord, an Igbo man over house rent in Lagos.


Speaking at a security meeting between the leadership of Ebira and Igbo Community Associations, the Chief Security Officer of Okene Local Government said, available intelligent reports indicate that some persons believe to be indigiene of the Local Government sympathetic to victim, Mrs Oyiza Peters are planning to attack the Igbos in Okene in retaliation of the ugly incidence.

The issue is being handle by the Lagos state police command, Igbo community in Okene and indeed Ebira land are peacefully living with their host community, therefore, nobody should take laws into his/her hands

He enjoined the Igbo community not to panic but be vigilant and go about their normal lawful businesses as government will never compromise the security of lives and property of any citizen or resident of Okene Local Government.
