Hon. Joseph greets Muslims at Eid-el-Fitri Celebration


The Senior Special Assistant to the Executive Governor of Kogi State on Security in charge of Adavi Local Government, Hon. Joseph Omuya Salami, has congratulated Muslim faithful in Adavi LG and the state on the celebration of the Eid-el-Fitri, which marks the end of the Ramadan period.

In his Eid-el-Fitri message, through his Media Aide on Sunday, Hon. Joseph congratulated Muslims on the successful completion of the Ramadan fast, stressing that witnessing another Eid-el-Fitri is a special privilege from the Almighty God and not by power or might.

Hon. Joseph said the 30-days spiritual exercise had drawn the faithful closer to God. He therefore urged them to put all the lessons learnt during the holy month into good use, especially in their daily dealings with fellow citizens.

He said current situation in the country and in the world at large has made it imperative for Muslims and adherents of other religions to live in peace and harmony with one another so that they can collectively confront and arrest the menace of Invented Covid-19 pandemic threatening our peaceful coexistence.

Hon. Joseph who commended Muslims in the Adavi LG as well as the state for their unflinching support for the administration of His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello through prayers, that gave him victories in series of litigations instituted by the oppositions, challenging his divine mandate; the positive outcomes of the unsubstantiated cases has indeed, vindicated Governor Bello as God chosen candidate. Hon Joseph therefore, urged everyone to close rank with him for prosperous Kogi State and, thereby hailed the judiciary for truly stands as the hope of common man in the society.

He urged adherents of all religions in the state to join the government of Kogi State in promoting peace and orderliness and in restoring the core values of honesty, honour, hard work for which the state was renowned.

“On behalf of my family and the good people of Adavi Local Government, I congratulate the Muslim Ummah on the Eid-el- Fitri celebration, and pray that God Almighty will accept our prayers and grant all our innermost heart desires, even as he preserves our lives to witness many more celebrations of this period”, he asserted.
