2027: Okakanda Deepens APC Grassroots Mobilisation, Engages Ward, Forum, Market Women, Youths
Ahead of the 2027 general elections, the Director-General of the Kogi State Traffic Management Agency (KOTRAMA), Engr. Aminu Abdulrazaq, popularly known as Okakanda, has intensified grassroots mobilisation for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Orietesu and Kogi Central at large.
The mobilisation featured a ward meeting, an interface with his grassroots forum, and engagements with market women and youths. Okakanda committed requisite resources to the mobilisation while urging supporters to take the party’s message to households and communities.
A major focus was the APC’s victory, such as the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and particularly the candidacy of former Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello for Kogi Central Senate and Hon. Sanni Salau Ogembe for Okene/Ogori-Magongo Federal Constituency. He also reaffirmed his support for the re-election of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo.
Okakanda said the success of Governor Ododo’s continuity agenda remains a major priority, pledging to make the mobilisation a “marching order” towards delivering a wider victory for APC candidates from the presidential level down to the National Assembly and other elective positions.
He further highlighted the development legacy of the former Bello administration and the ongoing consolidation under Governor Ododo, particularly in infrastructure, healthcare, education, security and social welfare. Okakanda maintained that continued political alignment could create more opportunities, jobs and improved dividends of democracy for the people.
Residents and grassroots supporters described Okakanda as a respected and generous community leader, noting his accessibility, kind-heartedness and commitment to the people. They expressed confidence in his leadership and prayed for greater strength and opportunities for him, saying his progress would translate into greater benefits for Orietesu Ward and the generality of the people.
The engagement ended with a renewed call for unity, sustained grassroots consultation and door-to-door mobilisation as the APC prepares for the 2027 elections.
