The then Paramount ruler of Ebiraland Atta Ibrahim Onoruoiza, embarked on religious pilgrimage to Mecca and Medina and he uses the Avenue to Visit Britain in 1930, it was in Britain as the guest of Queen of England that Atta Requested for a gift of miracle Water and in his reaction while making his request, Atta was Eulogized for having the interest of his people at heart and his request was granted immediately, with the help of the Colonial Administration in Nigeria, Atta Ibrahim Onoruoiza Started work on the Okene Water works in 1934 and by 1937, the facilities which has the capacity of fifty (50) million of gallons of water officially Commission and it was on record that Ebiraland was the first in Northern Nigeria to have such infrastructure which can serve the whole of Okene, Okehi and Adavi and her environs if properly managed but today the reverse is the case, the Situation of water scarcity is so pathetic especially during the dry season such that as early as 5am in the morning everyday Children and Women usually carry container to various places in search of water, I wouldn't want to mention any Particular Community or areas because we all know that the Problem is obvious to Virtually all the Communities in Kogi Central.
It is on this note that Hon. Abdulmumin Danga, the Honourable Commissioner for Water Resources in his Proactive approach to issues ever since he was appointed to manned the Ministry of Water Resources in Kogi State put up so many Conscerted efforts to Ameliorate the Suffering and Persistent pains of the people by Providing an industrialized boreholes to Various Communities and to a larger extent provided succor to this Communities till date but the Challenges of Water Scarcity in Kogi Central is still a Pressing issue to the Hon. Commissioner Hon. Abdulmumin Danga and a man who believes that "Water is a life saver into which we cannot breath but without taking it into us, we cannot live" (Munia Khan) His Excellency Alh. Yahaya Adoza Bello (Executive Governor, Kogi State) and because of the way Children and Women are going up and down in search of Portable Water and Since fingers are not equal, it's not everyone that can afford borehole or well but I want to assure the people of Kogi Central that the final solution to water problem that had rendered most of us vulnerable to embarrassment, humiliation, disrespected, assaulted, Abused, dehumanized in our quest for the search of Portable Water is here and it has been Sighted.

Hon. Danga the Honourable Commissioner for Water, a reformer, Performer, An Astute Politician, a goal getter and a silent Achiever While reacting to the huge Sacrifice made by this God sent Governor GYB Prayed that Almighty Allah will Continue to Guide, Direct, Protect him, his family and his cabinet, Allah will Continue to Enlarge his Coast and no doubt, higher Places Shall Continue to be your Portion.
Hon. Danga further appreciate the people of Kogi Central for there patience, Prayer and Support and he urge them to remain resolute as more good news await us under the Distinguished Leadership of GYB because he'll stop at no point in delivering the dividends of Democracy to all and Sundry.
