Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman's Career: (Pg 5 & 6 of 10
He has been seen upholding the internationally accepted auditing standards: that is Standards of Supreme Audit Institutions [ISSAIs] and best practice in auditing services in relation to the Local Governments Areas in the State by adopting contrivance for feedback on his engagements and audit route for the impartial review of audit for effective delivery and also to increase Public confidence in governance and administration of Local Governments and Local Council Development Areas in the State.
As a certified Public Accountant (CPA) and professional public sector Audit symbol, his dealings overtime are also guided by the dictates of the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institution [INTOSAI], which is the benchmark for classical Ultimate Audit Institutions.
He was appointed in 2016 when his Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Bello became the Governor of Kogi State, as Auditor General For Local Government, this is a position he held and contributed greatly to the New Direction Government.
Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo has worked as industrial Training Officer from 1997-1998, taught at his Local Government Secondary School, Upogoro-Okene, worked at theCentral Bank of Nigeria in Imo State during his NYSC from 2002-2003.
Got accomplished at the National Power Training Institute of Nig (NAPTIN) as its Manager of Finance and the Power Holding Company of Nigeria PLC, Kontagora. Then as Assistant Manager, Revenue and Power Holding Company of Nigeria PLC, Kontagora. And as Disbursement Officer from 2005-2007.
He has served as the Auditor-General for
Local Governments in Kogi State, managing the financial stocktaking and management of local government councils in the state by working closely with local government officials to implement measures which has enhanced financial transparency, accountability, and good governance in the management of public funds at the local government level under the leadership of Governor Yahaya
Adoza Bello.
