SEN. OHERE URGES MUSLIM UMMAH TO RENEW COMMITMENT TO PEACE AND PROGRESS OF THE NATION: Felicitate with them on Eid-el-kabir Sallah Celebration
The Distinguished Senator representing the good people of Kogi Central Senatorial District of Kogi State, Senator Abubakar Sadiku Ohere, FNSE has felicitated with the Muslim Ummah in the Senatorial District as they join their brothers and sisters all over the world to celebrate this year's Eid-El-Kabir.
In a Sallah goodwill message, the Senator Representing the good people of Kogi Central Senatorial District urged the Muslims to renew their commitment to the pursuit of Peace and Progress of the country and noting that the society will be a better place to live in for everyone if there is relative social equilibrium.
He enjoined the Ummah to imbibe the virtues of Obedience, Tolerance, Faith, Perseverance, Sacrifice among others as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim (A.S.)
He further called on the Muslim faithfuls to use this period in praying for an end to the security challenges that has bedeviled our country, Nigeria and challenged all worshipers of all religions and religion to tolerate one another and assist the less privileged in the society as one of the surest ways of reducing poverty and the attendant insecurity that comes with it, assuring that it is also the easiest way of getting supernatural blessings of Allah.
According to him, humanity is fast losing its essence because of the obvious disregard to the teachings and practise of our various religions. He admonished Muslims to continue promoting peace, tolerance and harmonious coexistence in the society adding that without peace, there can never be no prosperity and progress.
He used the opportunity to call on all his Supporters, well-wishers and the entire citizens of Kogi State to pray, Canvass, Support and Vote Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo and APC come November 11th 2023.
He concluded by wishing all Pilgrims to this year's Hajj a successful exercise and urged them to pray for peace, prosperity and unity of Kogi State and the Federal Republic of Nigeria and charging them to being good ambassadors of the State while in the holy land.
