Two Years of Purposeful Representation by Hon. Ozigi Muhammed Tijani.
Hon. Ozigi Muhammed Tijani, representing the Okene/Ogori-Magongo Federal Constituency in Kogi State, has marked two impactful years in the National Assembly with a strong focus on community development, empowerment and infrastructure enhancement.
Key Achievements Over Two Years
1. Youth and Women Empowerment
• Employment Facilitation: Secured over 8 federal and state appointments for constituents, including positions in the Civil Defence, Police, and CUSTECH University, Osara.
• Entrepreneurial Support: Nominated over 1,000 small and medium business owners for the Federal Government’s Conditional Cash Transfer scheme and empowered hundreds of market women with financial support.
• Skill Acquisition Programs: Organized training in tailoring, tiling, battery charging, driving, hairdressing, and small-scale mining, benefiting over 500 youths and women.  
2. Infrastructure Development
• Water Supply Restoration: Rehabilitated the Ageva Water Board, addressing issues like inadequate infrastructure, leakages, and low water pressure.
• Electrification Projects: Installed hundreds of solar-powered streetlights in areas including Obehira Eba, Obehira Uvete, Abuga Ozuja, and Okengwe General Hospital to enhance security and economic activities.  
3. Educational and Technological Advancement
• School Infrastructure: Constructed and furnished 6 classrooms at Government Day Science Secondary School uruvucheba
4. Healthcare Initiatives
• Medical Outreach: Conducted free medical treatments for over 1,000 individuals, addressing conditions like hypertension, diabetes and malaria.
5. Legislative Contributions
• Committee Roles: Serves as Vice Chairman of the House Committee on Rural Electrification and is a member of the House Committee on Niger Delta Development Commission and many others.
• Environmental Advocacy: Actively participated in investigations addressing environmental damages in oil-producing communities, advocating for the inclusion of affected communities in decision-making processes.

13. Provision and installation of powered solar street lights along Arigo road
14. Fencing and lighting up Obehira Cementary
15. Nominated 1000 small and medium business owners from Okene/ Ogori Magongo Constituency for the Federal Government conditional Cash Transfer Scheme
16. Empowered 100 Market women with cash within his constituency
17. Facilities solar borehole along Okene Eba Opposite chatta mosque
18. Facilitated 2 police job for his constituents
19. Facilitated 2 Civil Defence job for his constituents
20. Employed 2 constituent at CUSTECH OSARA
21. Distributed Thousands of Relief Palliative Materials across the Constituency
22. Enrolled 50 participants to undergo training and empowerment in Agricultural value chain in Ageva,Abuga ozuja and other selected communities
23. Facilitated 8 Federal and state appointments for his constituency
24. Facilitated the training of 300 Constituents on soap making with cash start up Empowerment
25. Distributed Thousands of grains, fertilizer and rice as support during Ramadan
26. Facilitated the training and empowerment of 300 Artisans in various fields with Okene Ogori Magongo Federal Constituency at Emcco
27. Installed solar streetlight across Ogori Magongo Local Government
28. Ongoing construction of primary health center at obehira ire-apana district
29. Ongoing construction of Classroom at Ogori Mango District
30. Installation solar streetlights at obehira uvete ire-apana district.
Hon. Tijani’s 2years in office has been marked by a commitment to inclusive development, focusing on uplifting marginalized groups and enhancing the quality of life for his constituents.
