The recent developments in the Senate have left many wondering what could have been. Distinguished Senator Abubakar Ohere, a man of unimpeachable character and unwavering dedication to the people of Kogi Central, was viciously robbed of his rightful position in the Senate. Had he been allowed to uphold his seat, all these saga would never have emanated. His experience, wisdom, and leadership skills would have made him a force to be reckoned with, and the people of Kogi Central would have greatly benefited from his representation, even as he emerged Senate Committee Chairman of a very powerful oversight functions now lost totally.
The Verdict is Clear: Natasha's Downfall is palpable. Yesterday, the 10th Assembly headed by the Senate President, Very Distinguished Senator Godswill Akpabio, withdrew all committee positions headed by Natasha. It's clear that justice has finally caught up with her. The people can see that Sen. Ohere was robbed of his rightful position, and the court's initial ruling was a miscarriage of justice.
The legislative arm of government has now taken notice of Natasha's actions, and the withdrawal of committee positions from her even in suspension is a clear indication of the consequences of her behaviour and may never go back there.
The people of Kogi Central can see that Ohere was cheated out of his victory, and now they are witnessing the fallout from Natasha's actions. It is a stark reminder that justice may be delayed, but it is not denied. Ohere's integrity and character have remained unwavering throughout this ordeal.
The same court that initially declared Natasha the winner of the election has now convicted her of contempt, fining her a whopping N5 million naira on two different occasions, and it is obvious more charges are underway. The same crowd that cheered her on when she took office is now turning against her. It is a stark reminder that actions have consequences.
Ohere's victory at the polls, but robbed off in the court, is a testament to his character and dedication to the people of Kogi Central. While Natasha's antics have brought shame to the institution, Ohere's patience and humility have earned him the respect of his peers and constituents.
The people of Kogi Central are paying the price for Natasha's actions. Without a senator to represent their interests, they are being left behind in the allocation of resources and development projects. The 10th assembly's willingness to listen to all voices makes it even more crucial for Kogi Central to have a senator who can effectively represent their interests.
As Natasha appeals to the court's decision, one can't help but wonder what the future holds for her. Will she learn from her mistakes, or will she continue down the path of self-destruction? One thing is certain, the ancestors of Ebiraland have awakened to fight for Ohere, the true senator of the people. All those who worked against him then can now see the shame and deprivation they imposed upon the people, and I can assure them they will meet their Waterloo just like the Order 10 Senator.
I feel for Kogi Central Senatorial District. I feel the impact of not having a senator to represent our interests. It is time to reflect on the consequences of our choices. Ohere's patience is a virtue, and it is a quality that will serve him well as he continues to wait for the right time to truly represent the people again.
Let this be a lesson to all: a senator who prioritises the interests of their constituents will always come out on top. Ohere's commitment to Kogi Central is unwavering, and his patience will ultimately be rewarded. The people of Kogi Central deserve nothing less.
