Philanthropist Adomu Pays WAEC Fees for Over 100 Students
Hon. Adomu Muhammed Etudaiye, a renowned philanthropist and leading aspirant for the Okene–Ogori/Magongo Federal Constituency under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ahead of the 2027 elections, has paid over ₦2 million for the May/June WAEC examination fees of 102 indigent students.
Hon. Adomu disclosed this on Saturday in Okene during a get-together of members of the Hon. Adomu Political Movement. He said the gesture was aimed at complementing the educational development efforts of the Distinguished Senator representing Kogi Central, Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan.
According to him, the beneficiaries were carefully selected from public secondary schools across Okene Local Government Area. He explained that the students were those sitting for the current WAEC examination and are children of less-privileged families.
Hon. Adomu described education as the bedrock of development, stressing that he understands its value and importance in shaping the future of society.
He called on other public-spirited individuals in Ebiraland to emulate the gesture by investing in education to guarantee a brighter future for the younger generation.
“This is one of the ways we can eradicate indolence and encourage scholarship among our teeming youths,” he said.
Hon. Adomu further disclosed that he has concluded arrangements to establish the Etudaiye Foundation for Education, which will provide scholarships and bursaries to indigent students who gain admission into tertiary institutions.
He noted that special emphasis would be placed on students studying professional courses such as medicine, law, engineering, agriculture, and other critical fields.
The philanthropist also commended the efforts of Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan in promoting education and infrastructure development, citing AAAMCO and her alma mater as notable examples.
“Senator Natasha has rehabilitated schools and provided furniture to ensure a conducive teaching and learning environment,” he said.
“We will continue to pray for her and support her to succeed.”
