NYCN Passes Vote of Confidence on President Tinubu, Hon. Minister Wike Over FCT Infrastructure Transformation

The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), under the leadership of its President, Amb. Babangida Onimisi Isah, has passed a vote of confidence on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Honourable Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, following a three-day inspection tour of infrastructure projects across the six Area Councils of the FCT.

The inspection covered Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), Bwari, Gwagwalada, Kuje, Abaji, and Kwali, where the NYCN leadership independently assessed the scope, quality and impact of projects executed within the last year.

According to the Council, the tour revealed significant progress in road construction and rehabilitation, rural access roads, drainage systems, streetlight installations, educational infrastructure upgrades and satellite town development projects. The NYCN noted that development efforts were evenly distributed across the city centre, satellite towns and rural communities.

The Council commended President Tinubu for what it described as a strategic appointment that has yielded visible results and praised Minister Wike for his hands-on leadership, speed of execution and commitment to infrastructural renewal.

As part of its resolutions, the NYCN declared Hon. Minister Nyesom Wike the “Best Performing Minister” in the current administration and announced plans to present him with a Certificate of Commendation in recognition of his service.

The Council further appealed to the President to provide increased funding and institutional support to enable the consolidation and expansion of ongoing projects under the Renewed Hope Agenda.

The NYCN reaffirmed its commitment to promoting accountable leadership and supporting policies that positively impact Nigerian youths and communities.

Signed:

Amb. Babangida Onimisi Isah

President, National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN)
