Bariki Ward Stakeholders Present New Leadership to Governor Ododo, Receive Strong Endorsement

In a significant show of unity and progress, stakeholders of Bariki Ward in Okene Local Government Area of Kogi State, in collaboration with former Chief of Staff to ex-Governor Yahaya Bello, Pharmacist Abdulkareem Moh’d Jamiu Asuku, led a delegation to the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Ahmed Usman Ododo.

During the visit, the delegation formally presented Hon. Ibrahim Umar Adabara as the chosen Leader of Bariki Ward. The decision, which reflects the collective will and confidence of the ward’s stakeholders, was warmly received and fully endorsed by the Governor.

His Excellency expressed genuine satisfaction with the growing unity, organization, and political maturity demonstrated within Bariki Ward. He commended the stakeholders for their commitment to peaceful collaboration and strategic leadership selection, describing the development as a positive step toward strengthening grassroots governance.

Speaking during the engagement, Chief Asuku highlighted the steady progress recorded in Bariki Ward, noting improved unity among stakeholders and a renewed sense of direction in grassroots leadership. He also pointed out some of the challenges facing the ward, particularly in areas of political coordination and local development needs. He emphasized that sustained cooperation, inclusiveness, and strategic planning would be essential in overcoming these challenges and maintaining progress.

Governor Ododo further assured the delegation of his support, emphasizing that the ward is well-positioned for a resounding electoral success. He noted that the cohesion within the ward would play a vital role in delivering a strong and decisive outcome in upcoming political engagements.
