Yahaya Bello Felicitates Christians, Calls for Renewed Hope, Unity, and Compassion

The immediate past Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, has extended warm Easter greetings to Christians across Kogi State and Nigeria, urging them to embrace the enduring values of love, sacrifice, peace, and unity that define the season.

In a goodwill message released to mark Easter 2026, the former governor congratulated the Christian faithful on the successful completion of the Lenten season, describing the period as one of deep reflection, spiritual renewal, and commitment to selfless service. He expressed optimism that the prayers and sacrifices made during Lent would continue to contribute to national growth and stability.

Bello highlighted the broader significance of Easter, noting that its lessons go beyond religious boundaries and remain essential to fostering harmony in a diverse society like Nigeria. He encouraged citizens to draw inspiration from the season by promoting understanding, tolerance, and collective responsibility.

He also commended the peaceful coexistence among people of different faiths in Kogi State, urging residents to sustain the spirit of unity while supporting the administration of his successor, Governor Usman Ododo, in delivering inclusive governance and development.

Reflecting on his time in office, Bello reiterated his commitment to interfaith harmony and inclusivity, values he said remain crucial for national progress. He called on Nigerians to continue to work together, regardless of differences, in building a more peaceful and prosperous country.

The former governor further appealed for continued support for the administration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, expressing confidence in its efforts to strengthen the economy and advance the Renewed Hope Agenda.

“As we celebrate this sacred season, let us renew our commitment to peace, compassion, and unity. Together, we can build a stronger and brighter future for our nation,” he stated.

He concluded by wishing all Christians a joyful Easter celebration, praying for enduring peace, progress, and divine guidance for Nigeria and its leaders.
