Idoji Ward APC: A Mammoth Show of Powerful Demonstration of Loyalty, Unity, Readiness and Renewed Commitment to the APC
The atmosphere was charged with enthusiasm, solidarity and renewed commitment as a mammoth gathering of distinguished members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from Idoji Ward paid a solidarity and appreciation visit to Hajia Habiba Oyiza Tijjani, the Accountant General of Kogi State.
The gathering was co-hosted by Hon. Dr. Abdullahi Bello Dollar, immediate past APC State Chairman and current Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, and attracted a remarkable cross section of party leaders, stakeholders and grassroots members, including Hon. Alhaji Ahovi Abdulsalam, Hon. Adams Adabenege, Alhaji Adayi Usman Fodio of Onyukoko, Hon. Michael Onimisi Ajibade, DG Climate Change and other prominent members of the APC family.
The impressive turnout was more than a political gathering. It was a powerful demonstration of loyalty, unity, organisational strength and renewed commitment to the APC at the grassroots.
In his welcome address, Hon. Alhaji Ahovi Abdulsalam warmly received the delegation and expressed profound appreciation for the sacrifices, commitment and thoughtfulness that inspired the visit. He commended the members for remaining steadfast in their support for the party and urged them to sustain their commitment, remain focused and continue working collectively in the interest of the APC.
He emphasised that unity, discipline and loyalty remain essential as the party approaches another critical electoral season.
Speaking at the gathering, Hon. Dr. Abdullahi Bello Dollar expressed deep appreciation to the people of Idoji Ward for their loyalty, doggedness and unwavering commitment to the ideals and success of the APC.
He particularly commended their determination to deliver the APC massively in the forthcoming elections, describing the gathering as a clear reflection of the strength and resilience of the party's grassroots structure.
Hon. Dr. Abdullahi Bello Dollar further identified FGYB as a focal target of the collective political effort and urged the members to remain united, focused and committed. He cautioned against distractions and emphasised that the strength of the APC in Idoji Ward must continue to be anchored on peace, discipline, mutual respect and unity of purpose.
In her response, Hajia Habiba Oyiza Tijjani spoke warmly about the people of Idoji Ward and their longstanding commitment to the APC. She acknowledged the ward's impressive electoral record and capacity for grassroots mobilisation, describing the visit as a genuine demonstration of loyalty, solidarity and confidence in the party and its leadership.
She expressed gratitude for the continued support of the people and encouraged them to sustain the spirit of unity and dedication that has distinguished Idoji Ward over the years.
She also emphasised the strategic importance of Idoji Ward, noting that the First Lady of Kogi State has roots in Idoji and Onyukoko, making peace, unity and cooperation essential to the continued progress of the APC family within the ward.
The gathering also featured spirited songs of praise and appreciation in honour of FGYB, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo and other APC leaders for what members described as their contributions to the development of Kogi State and the delivery of democratic dividends to the people, particularly across Ebira land.
The songs, chants and enthusiastic expressions of solidarity further reflected the strong bond between the party's leadership and its grassroots supporters.
Beyond the speeches and celebrations, the gathering conveyed a clear political message: the APC grassroots structure in Idoji Ward remains vibrant, organised and committed.
The mammoth attendance, the presence of respected party leaders and the passionate expressions of loyalty demonstrated that the enduring strength of the party remains rooted in the dedication of its grassroots members.
