Senator Ohere Mourns Former Kogi Governor Ibrahim Idris, Pays Tribute to a Statesman

Senator Ohere Sadiku Abubakar, FNSE, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of former Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris, describing his death as a painful loss to his family, Kogi State and all those who had the privilege of knowing him.
In a condolence message, Senator Ohere described the late former Governor as more than a former occupant of the state’s highest political office, but also as an elder, father figure and statesman whose years of service left a lasting mark on the history of Kogi State.
He noted that the death of Alhaji Ibrahim Idris is a solemn reminder of the temporary nature of life and the responsibility of every individual to use the opportunity of life to serve humanity and contribute meaningfully to society.
Senator Ohere extended his heartfelt condolences to the immediate family of the deceased, as well as his friends, associates and the people of Kogi State, praying that Almighty Allah grant the deceased eternal rest, forgive his shortcomings and admit him into Aljannatul Firdaus.
He also prayed for strength, patience and comfort for the family and loved ones as they come to terms with the loss.
“Rest in peace, Your Excellency. Your memories will remain with us,” Senator Ohere said.
