KGIRS Chairman Salihu Enehe Celebrates Taxpayers, Promises Continued Excellence in Service Delivery

The Executive Chairman of the Kogi State Internal Revenue Service, Sule Salihu Enehe, PhD, FCA, FCTI, has celebrated taxpayers across Kogi State as the state joins the rest of the world in marking Customer Service Week 2026.

In his message to taxpayers, Dr. Enehe expressed sincere appreciation for their continued cooperation, trust and commitment to fulfilling their civic responsibilities through timely and voluntary tax compliance.

He acknowledged the important contributions of taxpayers to the development of Kogi State, noting that their contributions remain essential to the provision of critical public services and the advancement of development across the state.

According to him, taxpayers are not merely contributors to the revenue system but valued partners in the collective effort to build a stronger Kogi State.

The KGIRS Chairman stressed that an effective revenue system depends on a strong and seamless relationship between the Service and taxpayers. He noted that every assessment made, payment processed, query resolved and certificate issued contributes to the efficiency and effectiveness of revenue administration.

Dr. Enehe also recognised the important roles played by compliant taxpayers, businesses, institutions, professional bodies, government agencies and other critical stakeholders in strengthening the state's revenue system.

He reaffirmed the commitment of KGIRS to serving taxpayers with professionalism, transparency, courtesy and efficiency, while continuously improving the quality of services provided to individuals and organisations across the state.

The Executive Chairman further thanked taxpayers for their trust, cooperation and continued commitment to the development of Kogi State, assuring them that KGIRS would continue to promote a responsive and taxpayer-friendly revenue administration.

He wished taxpayers across the state a fulfilling Customer Service Week 2026, while appreciating their partnership in building a stronger and more prosperous Kogi State.
