Kogi Rep Empowers Constituents

Lawmaker representing Okene-Ogori Magongo Federal Constituency, Ahmed~Tijani Damisa, recently fetes his constituents with massive empowerment to justify his representative function at the Green Chambers of the National Assembly at a town Hall EMCCO in Okene, Kogi State.

About 100 women and youths across his Constituent have been empowered with start-up kits after an extensive skill acquisition programme  which was facilitated by a member of the  national assembly, Hon. Ahmed~Tijani Damisa represented Okene-Ogori/Magongo  Federal  Constituency in the House of Representatives, and he is the current Committee Chairman on FCT Area Councils and Ancillary Matters –

The beneficiaries were trained on barbing, and hairdressing, and events management among others.

The empowerment program was anchored by Border Communities Development agency in Collaboration with Cyber Source Limited present Empowerment and Grant to Artisans in Okene.

Among the empowerment items distributed to   constituents/beneficiaries include 50 superpower clippers and the sum of Twenty Thousand (N20, 000.) to Artisans.  

Damisa, who spoke through the coordinator of the skill acquisition programme, Ibrahim Kadoka Adams, said the gesture to alleviate poverty.

He said that governance is all about quality   representation which he added that the benefactor has continued to maintain, charging people of the area to accord him necessary support when the need arises.

Speaking on behalf of barbers in the constituency, Idris Obaro, American Barbing Zone, Idoji appreciated the benefactor whom he said has been doing a lot for them, urging the beneficiaries to make optimal use of the rare opportunity given to them to do same to others.

Also, one of the beneficiaries, the former President of Okene Barber Association,  Mallam Muhammed Jamiu, who spoke on behalf others, was full of appreciation to  God for using the lawmaker to touch the lives of the less privilege ones in the area.
