Hon. Ataba Oporo Picks PDP Nomination Form for 2027 Okene I Assembly Race
Hon. Abdulhameed Ataba Oporo has officially obtained his Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The forms were obtained on Friday, May 8, 2026, at the party secretariat following extensive consultations with key stakeholders, party leaders, women groups, and youth organizations across Okene I Constituency.
Speaking after receiving the forms, Hon. Ataba Oporo said his decision to join the PDP was driven by his desire to align with a political platform that values the collective voice of the people and promotes fairness, inclusion, and democratic participation.
He assured the people of Okene I Constituency of effective representation anchored on youth empowerment, infrastructural development, quality education, and inclusive governance.

Hon. Ataba Oporo also appreciated the Distinguished Senator representing Kogi Central Senatorial District, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, and former Okene Local Government Chairman, Yahaya Jimoh Abubakar Karaku, popularly known as “Obama,” for their encouragement and support.
He therefore called on the people of the constituency to support his aspiration as he looks forward to victory in the 2027 elections.
